Top 5: Check out the stars that shone brighter at the 2019 Golden Globe

The awards season for American film and television had its official start last Sunday with the 2019 Golden Globe. The award that is promoted by the Association of the Foreign Press in Hollywood once again drew attention for the parade of celebrities in its traditional red carpet. The big winners of the night were the Bohemian Rhapsody films, which chronicles the trajectory of singer Freddie Mercury, and Green Book: The Guide, a dramatic comedy about the backstage of a musical tour. Check out, below, the stars that shone in the awards.

RAMI MALEK

Much more than a characterization of singer Freddie Mercury, lead singer of the band Queen, true actor Rami Malek personified this true icon of world rock. At the awards, besides winning the award for best actor in dramatic film, Malek still stole the scene with a special costume.

MICHAEL DOUGLAS

Michael Douglas is one of the best-known names in world cinema and, like good wines, has been proving that the older he gets, the better. In this year’s Golden Globe, the actor and director received the award for his performance in the series The Kominski Method, which shows the pleasures and challenges of old age.

GLENN CLOSE

Actress Glenn Close won the award for her starring role in The Wife and dedicated the award to her mother. His speech, which recalled the importance of his mother, was one of the most exciting moments of the ceremony and tearful tears of many of those present at the event.

SANDRA OH E ANDY SAMBERG

Actress Sandra OH and actor Andy Samberg hosted the 2019 Golden Globe awards ceremony and, in a sense, also stole the scene. With a mixture of sympathy and good humor, the couple had fun at night and proved that awards events can be really great fun.

JULIA ROBERTS

Although not competing for the top prizes of the evening, Julia Roberts drew attention to her beauty and sympathy and was given the “best dressed” title of the event. For Brazilian audiences passionate about fashion and luxury, the actress was still surprised: her costumes featured sandals by Brazilian designer Alexandre Birman.
