Technology, automation and luxury

Founded in the United Kingdom in the year 1922, Jaguar is currently one of the automakers’ market symbols of high standard. Through the creation of models that combine safety, refinement and technology, the brand is on its way to completing a century of being one of the main references of the world automotive sector.

And to emphasize the technological issue, recently, Jaguar has announced the information that it will join Waymo, a company linked to Google, to develop a completely autonomous model of I-Pace, with the objective of serving the segment of taxis without drivers.

What caught the attention was that the announcement occurred shortly after a fatal accident involving a vehicle of Uber, which caused the interruption of the tests that the company executed in public roads.

The plans and investments are great because as announced by the brand “will be built up to 20,000 I-PACE in the first two years of production and soon will be available to customers the service without a driver of Waymo, potentially making 1 million routes a day.” It is worth remembering that the model is already available to customers in Europe and has some autonomous capabilities. For fans of technology and direction, just wait and see.
