Matching wines at the Magic Island


The wine culture includes elements of history, gastronomy, social sciences and, of course, pleasure and fun. And the celebration of the drink is increasing continuously, as well as studies and events around the wine.

One of the most traditional is already headed for the eighth year and its next edition takes place on August 25 in Florianopolis. It is the Confraria do Vinho, an event held by radio Itapema whose success has been repeated with each new edition.


This is the dining room of the season in 2016, and the second just this August. And the success of the event is not for less: in addition to wine, the acclaimed cuisine and exquisite ambiance, the Wine Brotherhood of issues provides good encounters, formed by an audience of different ages but with common passions.

As “hosts” the next night, Chilean labels Siegel Special Reserve Viognier and Chardonnay Reserva White Evolución; High Score Premium Tinto (Portugal); and the sparkling white Brut Virtus (Brazil).


The menu, a creation of Chef Renato Stumpf, is also an attraction. For the evening delights are served as Papillote crab with sweet and sour sauce of pepper pout; parmesan cheese palmiers and tomato confit; and poached oyster with Soubise sauce and crunchy streusel herbs, as input. Already as a main course, options for both palate: Flounder, gnocchi alla romana fresh tomato sauce and Filet Welington “Alameda Casa Rosa”.

The soundtrack is under the command of DJ Thon Sorieden and gifts still compete to works by the artist Luciano Martins. The event sponsors are Carvalho Francês, O Padeiro de Sevilha, Som Maior and Bellacatarina.
