Gucci inaugurates its first high jewelry boutique in Paris

Place Vendôme is one of the most well-known and visited destinations in the French capital and, for the luxury market, it is an absolutely symbolic place. And this symbolism became even stronger with the inauguration of Gucci’s first high-end boutique jewelry store in the renowned Parisian square.

More than 200 pieces from the “Hortus Deliciarum” collection will be available to visitors at Gucci’s new luxury boutique in the French capital

With a growth of over 35% in 2018 and being one of the main responsible for the excellent results presented by the luxury brand conglomerate Kering Group, Gucci has decided to invest in the high jewelery sector. “You need to be mature before you get into that industry. The jewelery that Alessandro Michele is creating for Gucci will naturally occupy its rightful place in the market, “François-Henri Pinault, CEO of the Kering group, told French media.

The boutique located Place Vendôme will offer visitors a collection of more than 200 pieces from the Hortus Deliciarum collection handcrafted in the cities of Milan and Valenza. For Marco Bizzarri, Gucci’s chief executive, “jewelry has been one of our most dynamic categories in the last four years, as Alessandro Michele has given life to jewelery and fine jewelry. The launch of a high-end jewelry collection is therefore a natural progression in our narrative”.
