Filmmaker Guillermo del Toro is the inspiration for a hauntingly luxurious suite

Filmmaker Guillermo del Toro is one of today’s most original and talented filmmakers. In his films whose theme always unites the real world with the most deliberate fantasy, the singular and troubled characters tend to be the protagonists, and as a rule, the stranger they seem, the more human and sensitive they are.

The director’s unique talent and ability to create frighteningly enchanting worlds was a source of inspiration for the creation of the Monster Suite, which addresses the Guadalajara Museum of Arts in Mexico. Much more than a hotel room, however, the environment has a decoration that honors the work and references of the filmmaker.

The most interesting of the space is that it is really available for rent, that is, it is possible to spend a night literally enclosed in the worlds imagined by Guillermo del Toro. For the bravest guests, in addition to sleeping in a room filled with symbolic images that refer directly to Guillermo del Toro’s work, a visit to an attached exhibition featuring over 900 items linked to the filmmaker’s artistic production will also be available.

The experience, however, will be experienced by a very small number of the director’s brave fans, as the suite will be open for three nights, October 3-5, to celebrate Halloween. To book and check out more images of the luxuriously creepy suite visit the Hotels.com website.
