Chanel presents in Paris its 2019/2020 haute couture collection

While the legacy that Karl Lagerlfeld left for Chanel is undeniable, Virginie Viard, who replaced the iconic German designer in the creative command of the French brand, gradually shows his style. The grandiose scenarios, common at the time when Lagerfeld led the label, gave way to a traditional library that served as the stage for the presentation of Chanel’s 2019/2020 couture collection.

The launch event of the collection took place on the last day of June and reinforced that the concept of elegance of the French brand unites tradition, history and also good doses of innovation. This complementarity can be seen in looks that valued traditional cuts and were finished with glasses and other more modern accessories.

Betting on sober colors, traditional black-and-white plaid, demure necklines and other motifs that reinforced Chanel’s classic elegance concept, Virginie Viard becomes a creative fashion creator. Check out, below, a selection of looks presented during the parade.
