The most valuable brands in the world in 2018

According to studies conducted by the GSMA, a global mobile phone company, among the more than 7.4 billion people on Earth, about 5 billion have smartphones. Among the regions where the personal equipment is featured are China, India and the European continent.

This certainly helps explain why, for the sixth consecutive year, Apple, a US company that is synonymous with technology, was considered the most valuable brand in the world in 2018 by the Best Global Brands report written by the consulting firm Interbrand. In second place, according to the study, Google and Amazon completed the Top 3, surpassing icons such as Microsoft and Coca-Cola.

If among the top positions in the ranking the highlight is evident for organizations that act directly in the technology segment, luxury brands were also well evaluated by the research. Designer labels such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Hermès, and Italian Gucci, were among the top 40 companies in the study.

The report also indicated that the luxury and high-end segment showed a growth of approximately 42% this year and among the main qualities valued in the premium brands are the authenticity in the creation of the products and engagement with their respective priority publics.

In this panorama, Gucci is perhaps the mark in which this situation is easier to be observed. Under the creative command of Alessandro Michele, the Italian label has become a symbol of contemporary fashion, overcoming challenges, overcoming obstacles, becoming a success in sales without ever losing its essence and authenticity.

Although there are no Brazilian brands among the most valuable on the planet, the good results presented by the study show that the global economy is heating up and this good moment, without a doubt, should also benefit the Brazilian market.
